Exploded 3D View

More explanatory and beautiful project presentations with the exploded 3D view!
This feature was introduced in the 2014 version of Revit, and it allows you to create schematic drawings of the project that visually demonstrate the relationship between elements in a way that is quite common, yet, until then, rarely used in digital models. This is done in 3D views, including perspectives. Go to the view where the exploded elements will be visualized (duplicate the 3D view if necessary). Select one or more elements that you want to displace.

Go to the Modify tab; in the Views panel, click Displace Elements.

Use the 3D control to position the element(s).

How to show the connection between the displaced elements
Select one or more displaced elements and go to the Modify|Displacement Set tab; in the Displacement Set panel, click the Path button.

Click on the part of the element whose original position you want to indicate. Revit will draw a dashed line to show this. It will be drawn from the vertex closest to where you clicked to the initial position of that same vertex.
