BIM users meetup in Bahia brings together 200 participants

On May 4, 2018, in Salvador, BA, the 3rd edition of the Bahia BIM Users Meetup took place. The event was organized by the BIM Innovation Center - NIB together with the Polytechnic School and the School of Architecture of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). The Leopoldo Amaral auditorium, located at UFBA's Polytechnic School, welcomed nearly 200 participants. The event's opening was given by Gustavo Carezzato (GRAPHISOFT), who gave a presentation on the Open BIM concept. Next, Prof. Dr. Regina Ruschel, from Unicamp, gave a lecture on Competencies in BIM Implementation. Architect Ana Paula Pereira, from UFBA, gave a presentation on BIM implementation at SUMAI (UFBA's Superintendence of Environment and Infrastructure), and architect Fernanda Machado, a Unicamp master's graduate, presented on "BIM and the Internet of Things for Energy Consumption Monitoring". Prof. Dr. Lorena Moreira gave a talk on the "Building Owner's Manual Assisted by Augmented Reality". Finally, architect Sérgio Leusin gave a presentation on "Guidelines for Developing and Procuring BIM Projects". Jealva Fonseca, from the Salvador City Hall, presented "BIM Purposes in the Salvador 360 Program".

Discussions and raffles were part of the program

Two rounds of discussions were held, and several prizes were raffled off to participants. TI Lab and ProBooks Editora offered courses and books for the raffle among attendees. Below, see some photos of the event with the winners of the TI Lab and ProBooks raffle prizes.
