How to view a Revit model (and other formats) for free?

How to view the content of more than 50 file formats for free!

Autodesk recently launched a major novelty (we could even call it revolutionary): the A360 Viewer, a FREE viewer that you can use WITHOUT ANY SIGN-UP, to open and view the content of more than 50 file formats! Among the many file types you can open and view for free, here are the most popular ones: DWG, DXF, DWG: AutoCAD RVT: Revit SKP: SketchUp NWD: Navisworks 3DS: 3D Studio Max STL: Stereolithography, for 3D printers The blog team tested the service and was very satisfied. Here's how it works: 1 - Go to the site through this link: https://360.autodesk.com/viewer 2 - Click and drag the file you want to view directly onto the + sign, or click Browse for a file to upload. 3 - You need to click the checkbox shown on the screen below, to agree to the terms of service. 4 - Wait for the model to load... 5 - Wait a little longer... 6 - Notice that even a large Revit model loads and can be easily manipulated directly from the browser window 7 - In the case of a Revit model, you'll see that all the Sheets also appear, exactly as they were created. 8 - In this image, you can see that an IFC file (in this case, from ArchiCAD) also appears correctly Besides being able to open a large number of file types, the service also lets you study the model by making cuts, invite other people to review the model, check the hierarchical structure of the objects and their non-geometric data, among other functions. All for free. Go check it out, it's a really great service, and we hope it stays free!
