Handmade Bookbinding is the topic of the conversation between architect João Gaspar, director of TI Lab, and graphic designer Luis Maranhão, from the studio sөudesigns. During the interview, Maranhão will present the applications of handmade bookbinding, how to choose paper, how to choose work materials, the main types of folding and stitching, among other related topics. This presentation is part of the launch of the Handmade Bookbinding workshop, with designer Luis Maranhão, at TI Lab. The interview took place on June 11, 2019, Tuesday, at 4 PM, at TI Lab's headquarters.
Luis Maranhão is a Technician in Visual Communication from Etec de Tiquatira (2013) and a Graphic Design student with an emphasis on Typography at Anhembi Morumbi. In 2016, he founded the illustration and pattern design studio soudesigns which explores different types and techniques of illustration.
