ABOUT THE TALK "How to choose a software to design in BIM"
Speaker: João Gaspar – TI Lab
10/22/2019, at 7 PM
There are several software options for designing in BIM. In common, they all share the same purpose: to offer technology and tools so that students and professionals can create and document their projects in a safe and reliable way. However, these programs differ greatly when it comes to tools for modeling everyday construction objects or for creating complex geometries. Issues related to the graphic representation of models, the ability to support collaborative work inside and outside the office, and to exchange data reliably and securely, the investment required in computing infrastructure, and the cost of licenses should all be considered in the selection process.
In this talk, architect João Gaspar presents a method to help you choose the best software for designing in BIM according to your needs. Demonstrations will be given to highlight the features and tools offered by each software. In addition to becoming able to choose the most suitable software, participants will have the opportunity to clarify technical questions about how the features of the market's most widely used programs work.
