Launch of the BIM and Citizenship and BIM Parametric Objects Courses
On September 8, 2021, João Gaspar, architect and director of TI Lab and ProBooks Editora, presents an overview of the content and all the details of these new training courses.
The BIM and Citizenship course aims to show students how BIM-based work processes, which result in BIM models, relate to the laws and regulations of our country. This discussion is expected to contribute to a better understanding of the impacts of using BIM from a citizenship and urban-life standpoint for society as a whole, in public or private contracts, covering projects and construction works of any size, from building or renovating a single-family home to installing an industrial complex.
The BIM Parametric Objects course aims to explain, in a structured and didactic way, how the BIM objects you use every day in your BIM models actually work. You'll discover that, regardless of the software, BIM objects can be built using the same methods, tools, and parts. You'll learn what types of BIM objects exist, what parts can make up a BIM object, and what methods design authoring software offers for creating your own BIM objects. This way, students are expected to gain a better understanding of what happens with their BIM objects, improving their ability to edit and produce objects.
