Model a Simple Circular Table with Entity Info
There are tools that are essential for improving editing performance in SketchUp. The Entity Info window is one of them. When you select an object, the Entity Info window shows certain properties. Some of them can be changed, such as edge length, component name, dimension font, among others.   [caption id="attachment_214" align="aligncenter" width="261"] Entity Info window showing the properties of a selected dimension.[/caption]   Besides editing an object through the Entity Info window, you can also model with it. In the example below, you'll see how to turn a cylinder into a table. To open the tool, go to the Window/Entity Info menu.   [caption id="attachment_208" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Cylinder with a radius of 0.50m and height of 0.80m.[/caption]     [caption id="attachment_209" align="aligncenter" width="600"] 1. Create copies of the bottom circle to generate the table's leg.[/caption]     [caption id="attachment_210" align="aligncenter" width="600"] 2. Make copies of the top circle to create the tabletop.[/caption]     [caption id="attachment_211" align="aligncenter" width="600"] 3. Adjust the radius of each circle through the Entity Info window to create the table's leg.[/caption]     [caption id="attachment_212" align="aligncenter" width="600"] 4. Make the same adjustments as in step 3 to create the tabletop.[/caption]     [caption id="attachment_207" align="aligncenter" width="600"] 5. The finished table after a few more radius adjustments.[/caption]   With this feature of the Entity Info window, you can also create a vase, a pitcher, a goblet, and other lathed, solid-of-revolution objects. Like the objects below.   [caption id="attachment_225" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Sang's hat, goblet, geometric vase, bottle, and water jug modeled with Entity Info.[/caption]
