And You, Do You Know What SketchUp Is For?
For those who have been using SketchUp for many years, like us here on the blog, and for you who visit us to ask your questions and learn a little more, this question is kind of obvious, isn't it? Well, in these new SketchUp times, when the program (and its entire development team) left Google to become part of Trimble (surprised?), we thought it would be nice to put together a simple presentation that's a great starting point for those who don't know the program; and for those who already do, it's a good refresher, especially on the differences between the free and paid versions! Click the image below to go to the presentation's website: PS1: This presentation was shown to ABRA students in São Paulo on July 18 and 20, 2012, by the director of Rede AEC Pro and author of the book Google SketchUp Pro 8 passo a passo, architect João Gaspar, and it served as support for the spoken part of the talk. Even so, we believe it's worth watching! PS2: Trimble is a company with more than 30 years in the market that operates in the engineering, civil construction, and geopositioning segments. Last year the company acquired the Tekla software, used for structural calculations.
