What's being discussed today is how we can use computing technology to our advantage, creatively and productively. The idea behind this talk is to discuss the following questions: - Why is it so important to choose the programs we intend to use, whether academically or professionally? - What are the main programs available for the architecture market, and what factors should we consider when choosing each one? - What prospects does the market hold for interns and recent graduates, when it comes to using computers in the office? Our talks count as complementary activities in undergraduate architecture, engineering, and design courses. Duration: 1 hour Target audience: Architecture students from 1st year onward João Gaspar – Architect graduated from FAU-USP in 1999, gives numerous talks on BIM, technology, and the use of computing for architecture, engineering, and design. He has more than 14 years of experience in teaching, research, and the creation of educational material, heading TI Lab (a training center specialized in BIM) and ProBooks Editora, both headquartered in São Paulo. TI Lab offers more than 20 training courses, among which the Revit, ArchiCAD, Vectorworks, Rhino, and SketchUp courses stand out.
