Event organized by students at POLI-USP discusses the use of advanced technologies to improve cities.

Next Monday, August 12, marks the start of the IX SeTEC, Technology Week organized by students of the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo.

The event is free and open to the public. There will be several talks, short courses, and technical visits focused on the theme CITY FOR PEOPLE.

The presentations highlight the use of digital technologies applied to projects and construction works across various sectors of the construction industry. Topics covered include the use of drones in construction, augmented reality, and BIM, applied to project planning, the real estate market, and infrastructure works.

At this event, TI Lab is participating with the short course Georeferenced Projects and Virtual Reality using SketchUp Pro and Trimble Connect. Participants will carry out a collaborative, georeferenced building model, as massing studies.

Afterward, they will use their phones to check the results of their work in the parking lot and gardens of POLI-USP. Augmented, mixed, and georeferenced reality technologies will be used.

Interested? This is just one of the many fascinating short courses, talks, and visits at the event! Find out how to participate at https://setecpoli.com.br/home.
